Qatar Participates In Arab League Meetings On Al Quds

Qatar attended the meeting organised by the Arab Peace Initiative Committee at the headquarters of Arab League on Thursday.  The meeting was attended by the foreign ministers of the participating member countries.

The meeting was held at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo to discuss the developments in Al Quds in light of the US’ recognition of the city as a capital of the Israeli occupation.

The Qatari delegation was headed by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs HE Sultan bin Saad al Muraikhi.

The Arab league had earlier held a meeting in December to analyse ways to respond to the US decision, including an extraordinary summit held in Jordan as the chair of the current session.

Muraikhi also met with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) Commissioner-General Pierre Krahenbuhl, on the sidelines of the resumed meeting of the Ministerial Council of the Arab League at the level of Arab foreign ministers.
